Attorney Ingrid Tollefson grew up and graduated from high school in the Kansas City area. After getting her B.A. from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, she was accepted into the Japanese Exchange and Teaching Program and taught English in northeast Hokkaido Prefecture for two years. She returned to the U.S. to pursue her law degree, graduating cum laude from Hamline University School of Law. Ingrid was a Minnesota Justice Foundation Public Service Award recipient and earned awards in Legal Writing and Research and Social Welfare Law. She was a published associate for the Hamline Journal of Public Law & Policy and an editorial assistant for the Journal of Law and Religion. After law school, Ingrid worked as an investigator for a government civil rights office focusing on complaints of employment discrimination, including disability discrimination. Ingrid’s background and experience has made her a zealous and compassionate advocate for our clients. In her free time, Ingrid enjoys playing the piano, gardening, creative projects, working the NY Times crossword, playing with her cats, fishing, hiking, and reading.
