Help at Every Stage in the SSD/SSDI Process
For the majority of people who obtain benefits under Social Security Disability (SSD) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI), it is a long, frustrating process. Less than 30 percent of all initial applicants receive benefits the first time they apply.
You do not have to go through this process alone. At Midwest Disability, P.A., we focus exclusively on Social Security Disability law. Our number one focus is helping our clients obtain SSD/SSI benefits. From our offices in Minnesota, Missouri and Illinois, we represent clients in the Midwest and throughout the country with the Social Security Disability process.
The Experience You Need
We have more than 50 years of experience working with every step of the SSD/SSI process:
- Initial application: Many of our clients are surprised to learn that approximately 70 percent of all SSD claims are denied upon the initial application.
- Reconsideration: This step in the process is exactly what the name implies. In all but the 11 states that do not have a reconsideration step, the Social Security Administration (SSA) literally reconsiders the claim, starting the file at the beginning of the process with a different claims examiner. If you do not know whether you are in a state that has reconsideration, contact an attorney to learn more.
- Hearings with the administrative judge: If your claim is denied at the initial application and reconsideration stages, we will petition for a hearing with an administrative law judge, and we will represent you at this hearing, where we will show why you are eligible for benefits.
- Appeals: When all else fails, we will take your case to the appeals level to get you the benefits you need.
Wherever you are in process, our attorneys will help make the best case for you, so you can get the benefits you need.
