Should I do my hearing on the telephone, video, or in person?

by | Sep 2, 2023 | SSD - Social Security Disability |

Currently, hearings before Federal Administrative Law Judges are occurring via the telephone, via Microsoft Teams Video, and in person at local Social Security Office’s of Hearings Operations. Whether you wish to appear in person, on video, or via telephone is up to you! The Office’s of Hearings Operations are not your local SSA offices, so could be a long drive from your home. Because of this, many of our clients are opting for telephone or video hearings. Video hearings require an adequate internet connection as well as a laptop, tablet, or smartphone to connect to the Microsoft Teams Application. If you do not have access to this, and do not want to drive to an in person hearing, telephone hearings are a good option!
