Can I receive both VA benefits and Social Security Disability Benefits?

by | Dec 23, 2023 | SSD - Social Security Disability |

Yes, you can. So long as you have worked full time in the five years prior to filing for benefits, you are covered under Social Security Disability Insurance (“SSDI”). SSDI does not have any limits on other benefits you may receive, such as VA benefits or a private disability policy, so you may collect both at the same time.
